Please see below our salon policies we have carefully created to ensure your safety, care, and a positive experience.
Rewards Program:
- For every $20 you spend on salon straightening treatments, you receive $1 in salon credit.
- Your accumulated rewards will be displayed on your appointment emails.
Terms & Conditions:
- All customers are automatically enrolled in the rewards program. No registration is required.
- Gift vouchers collect points when applied to a sale.
- Aftercare products do not collect points.
- Salon credit can be redeemed at any time on salon treatments or aftercare products.
- Rewards cannot be used to pay for gift vouchers or exchanged for cash.
- Points are automatically removed if a transaction is refunded.
Our commitment to safety guides our decision to maintain a child-free salon environment. Our tools operate at high temperatures, and with limited space in our salons, working around cords becomes challenging, especially when accommodating prams. Additionally, our products are chosen for their safety and non-toxic nature for adults. However, they have not been tested on babies or children. Despite ventilation efforts, our salons can become quite steamy during certain processes, posing potential discomfort to young ones.
While we accommodate breastfeeding, we kindly request prior notification. This allows us to schedule appointments with consideration for feeding times, optimising a time slot of 45 minutes to 1 hour for a comfortable experience. We welcome the use of portable breast pumps during appointments. The capes ensure privacy and comfort.
On the day of your appointment please arrive with shampooed only, airdried hair. We recommend doing the hair preparation as our treatments are non tox and do not contain harsh chemicals that will be able to penetrate through any build up on the hair. This will ensure that the cuticle of your hair is open so that our treatments can penetrate through and allow all of the nutrients to work their magic from the inside out. This also helps us to assess your hair in its natural form to ensure that we are choosing the best treatment for your hair and desired results.
Please note that all clients must be 15 years of age or older. If you wish to call us to discuss a treatment for your child, please contact us by email before booking an appointment.
During your appointment our staff will recommend the best aftercare for your hair to ensure the longevity of your straightening. If you have any questions after your treatment please reach out as we want you to love your hair and get the most out of your treatment.

1. Applicability
These Terms and Conditions (hereafter referred to as "Terms") govern the use of services provided by The Straightening Salon (hereafter referred to as the "Salon") in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). By utilising our services, you agree to comply with these Terms.
2. Service Offerings
The Salon provides hair straightening and related services as outlined in our service menu. The details and prices of these services are available on our official website and within the salon premises.
3. Booking and Cancellation
Appointments can be made either in-person, over the phone, or through our online booking system. There is a $50 - $100 deposit required for each straightening treatment. The deposit will be used towards the total of your treatment on the day. We require a minimum of 72 hour's notice for any cancellations. All cancellations within this period will forfeit your deposit. You can reschedule through your email that you will receive upon booking if it is more than 72 hours before your appointment and your deposit will be transferred automatically.
4. Pricing and Payment
All prices are inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST) and are subject to change without notice. Payment balance is due upon completion of services. We accept Visa / Mastercard.
5. Customer Satisfaction & Refund Policy
We do not offer refunds on services rendered. All services are final. Our commitment is to ensure the satisfaction of our clients. If you are dissatisfied with the outcome of a service, we encourage you to contact us promptly to discuss your concerns. If you are unhappy with the results of a particular service, we invite you to schedule a follow-up appointment for a thorough assessment of your hair. Our experienced stylists will assess the situation and, if necessary, make adjustments or corrections to address your concerns. The decision to offer corrections or adjustments is at the sole discretion of The Straightening Salon. To avail of the complimentary correction appointment, clients must notify The Straightening Salon within 2 weeks of the initial service. This timeframe is crucial to ensure that any adjustments made are within a reasonable period following the original appointment. This policy does not cover dissatisfaction due to a change of preference, misunderstandings regarding service expectations, or changes in personal circumstances.
6. Consumer Guarantees
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the services remedied if they are not performed with due care and skill.
7. Health and Safety
The Salon prioritises the health and safety of clients and staff. Please inform us of any allergies, medical conditions, or other relevant information that may impact the services provided.
